Scientists Exploring the Force of Gravity

 Students played catch with a family member at home while describing what happened to the ball when they threw it, caught it, and/or dropped it.  After listening to the book, I Fall Down and learning about the force of gravity, students drew and labeled a picture of themselves playing catch including the force of gravity in their science notebooks.

Kindergarten scientists explored how objects move and drew and labeled their findings in their science notebooks.

 

We Are Scientists

To initiate our study of science, students shared their beliefs of what science is, then listened to the book, What is Science? by Rebecca Kai Dotlich.  Afterwards, they were asked to draw and label themselves as scientists.
