Today, in Phonics, we learned the song, "Make new friends, but keep the old, one is silver and the other gold." Through the song, we made the connection that we have made "old friends" in the letters of the alphabet, and now will use our old friends to make "new friends" in words. The students then practiced using the steps for "How to Learn a Word" to make the words, "I", "my", and "like" into official snap words.
