As part of our exploration of "Learn About the World" nonfiction books, our interest has been peaked in reading books about all kinds of animals. We were so excited to have an in-school field trip where Dan the Creature Man brought animals to Glengary for our kindergartners to have a hands-on experience and learn even more about animals! So much fun was had getting up close and personal with many different creatures including a 3 ft. Mexican Milk Snake, an 8 ft. Albino Burmese Python, a 4 in. CAGED Tarantula, a 14 in. Panther Chameleon, a 3.5 ft. MUZZLED alligator, a 13 in. Leopard Tortoise, an African Grey Parrot, an Eclectus Parrot, and a Chinchilla. We are so appreciative for this amazing learning opportunity, funded by our wonderful Glengary PTA, that was thoroughly enjoyed by all of our kindergarten students!
