Our last day of kindergarten was truly bittersweet filled with lots of love and laughter (and a few tears from Mrs. Steele). We read the book, Oh the Places You'll Go by Dr. Seuss and the students were all given a special pencil to remind them that they are off to great places in their lives! We also attended our closing day ceremony in the gym where each grade level was presented with words of wisdom from students in the grade above. The ceremony was closed with a clap out for Mr. Beagle, our recess supervisor who is retiring, followed by the 5th grade students who will be moving on to middle school next year.

Popsicles and Partying with Pals on the Playground
We had so much fun at our year-end celebration bringing all three kindergarten classes together to spend time with one another while enjoying popsicles and creating masterpieces with sidewalk chalk on our playground!

Sharing Our Special Kindergarten Memories
As a special keepsake, students were each given a memory book filled with photos from our year together to help them to remember the many wonderful events and learning opportunities from their kindergarten year! They were also given crayon fruit snacks to honor the bright future they have ahead of themselves, an elephant pop-it to commemorate Mabel who helped us grow our phonics, reading, and writing muscles, and a stuffed gator and gator bracelet to remind them to continue to use their character strengths and always be Greater Gators! 💗🖍🐘💚🐊
