1. Monday - The Superstar of the week will participate in a name building activity, then lead the class in his/her name cheer.
2. Tuesday – The Superstar will be asked to share either the “All About Me” slideshow or poster that he/she created.
If your child chooses to create a slideshow, please use the
“Superstar Template” at the following link Superstar Template. NOTE:
You MUST first click on the
“File” tab and “Make a Copy” before performing any edits to the slideshow. A link to the slideshow OR a picture of the
poster MUST be uploaded to the
Padlet by Monday of your child’s Superstar week at the following link (https://padlet.com/michellesteele2/superstars-5qoxtg7b98iol2qs).
Categories such as My Pet(s) if applicable, My Family, My Favorite Food(s), My Favorite Book, My Favorite Color, My Favorite Toy, My Favorite Memory (i.e., vacations, holidays, etc.) may be included. Feel free to add additional categories as warranted. The categories can include actual photographs or drawings. Also, be sure to include a picture of the “Superstar.” The Superstar will share his/her slideshow or poster with the class on this day so be sure your child rehearses beforehand.
3. Wednesday - The Superstar will be asked to put a small item into a Mystery Box/Bag (a small box or bag that is NOT see through) and to write 3 clues about that item on a small piece of paper. Be sure your child practices reading the clues to be able to present them to the class. Please also email the clues to Mrs. Steele or send the clues in the take home folder so assistance can be provided as needed while the classmates attempt to guess what is in the box/bag.
4. Thursday – The Superstar will choose a Go Noodle for the class to do.
5.
Friday – The Superstar will be asked to fill an Estimation Jar/Bag
(clear jar/container or ziplock bag) with a certain number between 5-50 of
items (i.e., bottle caps, macaroni noodles, Cheerios, buttons, bolts, screws,
etc.) Your child should know exactly how
many items they have, but should keep it a secret. Please email the number of items to Mrs.
Steele or include it on a small slip of folded paper in the container
so assistance can be provided as needed while the class tries to guess how many
items are in the jar/bag.
**PLEASE NOTE: If there is a non-school day on a particular day during your child's Superstar Week, the missed activity will be completed along with the scheduled activity on the next school day.
