To celebrate the end of our Word Scientists Phonics Unit of Study, we hosted "Word School" where the students practiced being teachers to an extra special stuffed animal from home! As teachers, they created lesson plans for teaching their students about the snap words they have learned to date. Their plans were fully executed and they were all amazing teachers to their students! A wonderful experience was had by all! 😊

In math, students enjoyed playing Monster Squeeze with a partner and also on the ConnectEd website to practice number recognition and explore number relationships.
In math, the students graphed the number of dots that they rolled on a single die until one of the numbers reached the top of their graph. We then compared and discussed the class results.
In math, students had lots of fun practicing number recognition, sequencing numbers, and matching sets and numerals with their number cards.
The students have been working hard to use the magic of finger pointing to point to a word and say a word as they read many different kinds of text! They are growing their reading muscles each and every day!
