We Are Scientists

To initiate our study of science, students shared their beliefs of what science is, then listened to the book, What is Science? by Rebecca Kai Dotlich.  Afterwards, they were asked to draw and label themselves as scientists.  

 

If You Give a Mouse a...

 In class, we read the story, "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie." As an extension, the students were asked to respond by drawing/writing a new part to the story by thinking of something else they could give to the mouse and what he would ask for to go with it.

Finding Objects that Begin Like Mabel!

 We had fun finding objects around our homes that begin with the /m/ sound like our friend, Mabel the elephant who helps us learn about letters and words!
