St. Patrick's Day Shenanigans

Upon returning from music class, we were surprised to be locked out of our classroom.  When we were finally able to open the door, we discovered things to be in disarray with chairs tipped over at our tables.  Students were surprised and excited to find an extra special treat left by the leprechauns - a green cookie and a gold coin!

Finding the Number that Makes 10 When Added to a Given Number

 Students enjoyed playing the Hiding Bears game together as a group to practice discovering various ways to make 10 from a given number.  They continued their independent practice by playing the Penny Plate game online on Connect Ed.

3D Solid Shape Museum

Students had fun comparing and contrasting 2D/flat and 3D/solid shapes while carefully examining the features of the three-dimensional objects in our 3D Solid Shape Museum in class.






Using Robot Talk to Discover Middle Sounds in Words

Students had fun isolating the middle, vowel sounds in words by using Robot Talk to sort words with the short /a/ and short /i/ sounds.
