Detroit Tiger & School Spirit Day

All students at Glengary were invited to either wear their Fun Run Positivity Project t-shirts in honor of our visit from Mr. Peace who shared his message of spreading kindness with us, or their Detroit Tigers gear in honor of Opening Day!

Principal of the Day, Charlotte!

One of our kinderfriends, Charlotte, had the honor of being Principal of the Day alongside Mrs. Johnson.  Charlotte earned this special privilege for being selected at the Fun Run raffle.  Charlotte had a busy day filled with helping to coordinate the schoolwide Mr. Peace assembly, lunching with Mrs. Johnson, and reading ro classrooms.  Thank you for all of your help keeping our school operating successfully, Charlotte!

Mystery Rock Game

Kindergarten scientists selected a favorite rock from a set of four to draw and record observable properties.  Then, they created a rock museum displaying all four of their rocks.  Afterwards, students were paired with a partner with whom they played the Mystery Rock Game where they read the attributes of their favorite rock aloud and their partner had to guess which of the four rocks the student was describing. So much fun was had by all!
