Welcome!

Welcome to Mrs. Steele's Kindergarten Class! It is going to be a fantastic 2021-22 school year! I am looking forward to meeting my new students and their families on Monday, August 23rd from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m at the Meet and Greet. After stopping by our classroom to meet me and drop off supplies, be sure to head out to the playground to have a popsicle with our PTA!

Our first official day of school will be Wednesday, August 25th and the first three days (August 25-27) will be a staggered start for kindergarten.  Students with last names beginning with A-L will attend in the morning from 9:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m., and students with last names beginning with M-Z will attend in the afternoon from 1:00 p.m - 4:00 p.m. All students will attend full days of school beginning on Monday, August 30th. There will be no school on Friday, September 3rd and Monday, September 6th in observance of the Labor Day holiday.  There will also be no school on Tuesday, September 7th in honor of Rosh Hashanah.

Please plan to send one healthy snack each day in a separate bag clearly labeled with your child's name.  For safety purposes, students should also plan to wear tennis shoes to school each day.

Curriculum Night is scheduled for Wednesday, September 1st beginning at 6:15 p.m. This meeting will take place over zoom.  Please refer to the Glengary Gazette for the zoom link.  During this meeting, we will be discussing our kindergarten curriculum along with the rules and routines of our classroom.

I am looking forward to a wonderful year of working together with my new students and their families! See you soon!
