In math, we had lots of fun comparing lengths to find our matching partner. After finding our matching partner who had the same length strip, we spent some time asking our partner questions to get to know one another better. Several rounds were played and everyone had the opportunity to get to know many new friends in our class.

The Flying School Bus
Today, we read the book, The Flying School Bus by Seymour Reit. At the end of the story, we discovered that the bus flew up into the sky. After reading the story, we discussed if the story could really happen and together, we created a chart to reflect our beliefs. Then, we learned about the difference between fiction (pretend/make believe) stories and nonfiction (real/factual) stories, and we discovered that the book, The Flying School Bus is actually a fiction story. Afterwards, the students were led in a following directions activity where they were expected to carefully listen and observe step-by-step directions to draw a matching school bus. We will continue to work on developing the important skill of listening watching, and following directions throughout the school year! 🚌
