Bubbles!

The students enjoyed learning and reading about bubbles as part of our Let's Find Out Weekly Reader edition, Pop Goes the Bubble!  We learned the new vocabulary words - sphere, film, burst, and iridescent.  We also had fun playing the online game, "Short Vowel Pop" where we listened to a given word, figuring out the middle sound, and clicking the corresponding letter in the bubble that made that sound.  We especially loved going outside to blow our own fragrant and iridescent bubbles!!!

Our Final Kindergarten Visit with Romeo

Enjoying our final visit in kindergarten with Romeo, but looking forward to seeing him again as big first graders!!!  💕 

S'Mores!

To review our literacy skills, the students used their informational writing skills to write the steps of  "How to Make S'Mores." They also enjoyed putting their reading super powers to the test as they read and implemented the steps to actually make S'Mores.  Most of all, they LOVED being able to enjoy the fruits of their labor as they ate the S'Mores that they made!

To culminate a fun-filled year of growing our smart muscles together, we had so much fun practicing all the skills we learned through a camping theme.  From using our five senses on a nature hike, to reading in the Reading Tent, to practicing snap words and math facts in the Cabin Tent, to listening to stories by the Campfire, to fishing for number stories and word families in the Fishing Pond, to alphabetizing camping supplies, to finding the number of syllables in camping words, to reading and sequencing camping events, to writing the steps and making s'mores, to blowing bubbles and so much more, a fun and exciting time was had by all!
