In Phonics, we have been learning that once we know our names by heart, we own the first letter (and even the other letters too) and when you own your letter, you can teach what you know to others! 

Creativity Through Music

As part of the Positivity Project while learning about the character strength of "creativity," the students were challenged to listen to the song, Own Drum and express their creativity while drumming along to the music!

The Glengary Fun Run

What a wonderful experience we had at our Fun Run!  We weren't going to let the rain spoil our fun!  From the warm-up station, to running around the track in the rain, to a dance party celebration, to the raffle prize assembly, a fun-filled, fantastic time was had by everyone!  Thank you to our amazing Glengary PTA for planning such a wonderful event to raise money for our school!

Number Boards

In math, the students enjoyed making number boards to reinforce their counting skills and to help them to visualize the "one more" counting pattern. 

Practicing Partner Reading

During Reading Workshop, students have not only been working on building their stamina when reading independently (private reading time), but also during partner reading time while sharing "Learn About the World" books with one another.
