As part of state requirements, the junior kindergarten students enjoyed learning about the Constitution by listening to the infamous Schoolhouse Rock song and discussing the need for rules. Together we created a list of promises that we will follow each day to make our classroom a safe and fun place to learn!

While exploring with patterns blocks, the students were challenged to make AB patterns!
With support and guidance, the students have been working hard to develop the responsibility for completing our morning routine independently. This visual serves as a reference in case they forget and to double check that they are ready to start the day! 😊
During our bus themed week, the students worked in small groups to practice putting the letters of their names in the proper order and gluing them on their buses!
Lots of fun was had developing fine motor skills as the students tore pieces of paper to fill the inside of the first letter of their names. The finished products were added to our bulletin board display in the hallway including our self portraits and name writing from the first week of school!
