In our ongoing exploration of nursery rhymes, our literacy block stations were centered around the "Mary Had a Little Lamb" rhyme. The stations included coloring the pictures in their "Mary Had a Little Lamb" books and practicing reading the book, identifying the characters and setting and drawing and labeling their favorite part of the rhyme, sequencing the events in the rhyme, and sorting pictures of things that were present in the rhyme and things that were not present in the rhyme.
