As part of our Social Studies curriculum, we read and discussed a book about the pledge of allegiance to help us to better understand what it means to be an American. Then, the students enjoyed coloring an American flag in class using an A-B (red-white) pattern for the stripes, while carefully coloring in the blue area around the white stars.
