Nursery Rhyme Time - Baa, Baa, Black Sheep

In our ongoing exploration of nursery rhymes, our literacy block stations were centered around the "Baa, Baa, Black Sheep" rhyme. The stations included coloring the pictures in their "Baa, Baa, Black Sheep" books and practicing reading the book, sequencing the events in the rhyme, and sorting words that rhyme and do not rhyme with "lane." In Story Workshop, we read a nonfiction book to learn more about sheep and the children used pieces to develop and illustrate a story about a black sheep that they shared with the class afterwards.
