What an amazing day we had celebrating the 100th day of school! Seeing so many friends dressed like little old people was definitely one of the highlights of the day! During our morning songs, the students had fun dancing along with "Grandma and Grandpa" while counting to 100 by 1's and 10's. The students also loved having a snack in the shape of the number "100." The children also enjoyed working together in teams to make paper chains in 10 sets of 10 to create a 100th day display for our classroom.
During our math stations, the students enjoyed stamping their way through ten frames to 100, counting by 10's to 100, and tracing numbers to 100. In small group Story Workshop with Mrs. Steele, the students loved looking at pictures of themselves through an aging filter and telling about what will happen when they are 100 years old!
Even more fun was had during choice time when students explored bins of 100 pieces to see what they could create!
Happy 100th Day of School!
